TMJ disorders and Sleep apnea are end points of a long term developmental problem most often related to airway problems during infancy and childhood. Due to airway restriction the body alters its normal function to maintain an open airway. There is a step by step group of changes that can lead to sinus problems, nasal airway restriction, middle ear infections and deviate swallows.
