A new process (see release below) has been announced that may enable the early diagnosis of lung cancer thru a cheek swab. Dental patients are used to going in to the dentist for cleanings and exams. If this new test is nexpensive and has few false positives it will probably be a test that could be done on a regular basis in just a few extra seconds during dental appointments.

Falls are a major cause of hospitalizations accounting for 40% of hospital admissions for seniors covered by medicare. More than 1/3 of seniors 65 and older fall annually. Neuromuscular orthotics can help the lower numbers of patients falls.

A recent article (PubMed abstract below) in the European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology made the following conclusions "These findings confirm the hypothesis that triptans and ergot derivatives are associated with an increased risk of drug dependence"
